Services, inventory and diagnostics

How Services, Inventory, and Diagnostics work together as your clinic's live catalogs.

Three catalogs, one concept

Kozelot Vet has three catalog modules that work together: Services, Inventory, and Diagnostics. Everything you add here feeds directly into patient records - no separate configuration needed.

Services

Services define your clinic's billable fee catalog: consultations, surgeries, vaccinations, imaging, and more. Services you add here appear as selectable options when:

  • Creating or editing appointments.
  • Adding exam entries to a patient record.
  • Adding treatment entries.
1

Go to Services

Open Services and click "New service".

2

Fill in the details

Enter a name, category, price, and optional description.

3

Save

The service is now available across the platform wherever a service selector appears.

💡To use a service as a diagnostic test, enable "Use as diagnostic test" when creating or editing the service.

Inventory

Inventory tracks your physical stock: medicines, vaccines, food, and supplies. Items you add here appear in treatment plan selectors and deworming pickers on patient exam records.

Add items in Inventory. Each item has a name, category, quantity, unit, price per unit, and optional SKU.

⚠️Low-stock alerts appear on your dashboard when an item's quantity drops below its threshold. Set the threshold when creating or editing an inventory item.

Diagnostics

The Diagnostics page is an overview of all items marked as diagnostic tests, pulled from both Inventory and Services. It is not a separate data store.

To add a new diagnostic test:

1

Go to Inventory or Services and create or edit an item.

2

Enable the "Use as diagnostic test" checkbox.

3

The item now appears on the Diagnostics overview page.
